Completely uninstall DaySpire from your Mac
Instructions verified July 20, 2026
Removing the app takes one minute. Removing its local work database, downloaded AI models, preferences, and credentials is optional and irreversible, so choose the level you want below.
Before you remove anything
- Export or back up anything you need first. Deleting DaySpire's Application Support folder permanently removes the local database, meeting files retained by the app, model downloads, and other app-owned files.
- Deleting the app does not cancel paid billing. To stop renewal, sign in to the account portal, open Billing, choose Manage billing, and cancel in Stripe. See billing, cancellation, and refund terms.
- Quit DaySpire before deleting files so it cannot write new local state while you are cleaning up.
1. Remove only the DaySpire app
- Open DaySpire and choose Quit DaySpire, or select DaySpire and press Command-Q.
- Open Finder and select Applications.
- Drag DaySpire.app to the Trash, or Control-click it and choose Move to Trash.
- Empty the Trash when you are ready.
This removes the executable but deliberately leaves your local data and models in place in case you reinstall.
2. Optionally erase local work data and downloaded models
Only do this after exporting or backing up what you need. In Finder, choose Go → Go to Folder…, enter the following exact path, and move the LocalLedger folder to the Trash:
~/Library/Application Support/LocalLedger/
This is DaySpire's app-owned support directory. It can contain the encrypted local work database, downloaded Private AI models, retained meeting audio, generated meeting minutes, app-managed evidence copies, exports, temporary processing files, and local runtime files. Files you separately exported or source files from folders you chose to watch are not removed by deleting this folder.
3. Optionally remove preferences and macOS caches
Use Finder's Go → Go to Folder… for each path below and remove it if present:
~/Library/Preferences/ai.localledger.app.plist~/Library/Caches/ai.localledger.app/~/Library/Saved Application State/ai.localledger.app.savedState/
macOS may not create every optional cache or saved-state path, so a missing item is normal.
4. Optionally remove DaySpire Keychain items
Do not remove the database key if you are keeping the LocalLedger support folder. Without that key, an existing encrypted database cannot be reopened.
- Open Keychain Access from Applications → Utilities.
- Search for
app.dayspire.license. Delete only items whose service name exactly matches; these hold DaySpire account, local-trial, online-license, offline-license, device, and trusted-clock credentials. - If you also erased
~/Library/Application Support/LocalLedger/, search forai.localledger.dband delete the generic-password item with accountlocalledger. This is the encryption key for the deleted database.
If you reinstall after deleting these items, DaySpire treats the installation as having no stored license credentials. Removing local credentials does not cancel a Stripe subscription or erase server-side account and billing records.
5. Revoke macOS permissions
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security. If DaySpire is still listed, turn it off under Accessibility, Microphone, Screen & System Audio Recording, Calendars, and Files & Folders as applicable. macOS controls these permission records; removing the app may not immediately remove every entry from the lists.
6. Account or billing records
Local uninstall steps do not alter a DaySpire account, Stripe subscription, invoices, or records that must be retained for security, fraud prevention, billing, or legal obligations. Manage the subscription in the account portal. For an account-data request or if you cannot access billing, contact [email protected] from the email associated with the account. Never send passwords or full payment-card details.
